Static and dynastic application design process of flexible hose

Ocean transmission flexible hose is our featured hose product, which is used for ocean oil transmission. In the following are the static application design flow and dynastic application design flow.

The following chart is the design flow for static application:

  1. According to the demand of the custom, such as application of water depth, property of transmission medium, internal pressure, wave and tide initially determine the material and structure format.
  2. Section design and analysis. Based on the index proposed by the customer, primarily determine section size, including thickness of each layer and coverage angle and analyze section property to make it meet the demand of design index.
  3. Overall design and analysis. For static flexible hose, the stability of the hose is mainly ensured at seabed.
  4. Mainly for detail design, such as joint and bending restrictor etc. as well as consideration for anti-corrosion.
  5. By all scale tests test the design and verify working safety.

Main design step for dynamic application:

  1. According to customers’ demands, such as water depth, transmission medium property, inner pressure, wave and tide, make the original choose of the material and structure.
  2. Section design and analysis. Based on the index proposed by customers, determine section size; including layer thickness, coverage angle, and etc. analyze section property to meet the demand of design index.
  3. Overall design and analysis. For dynamic transmission hose, it mainly refers to static and dynamic analysis under environment load.
  4. Mainly for detail design. In the dynamic application design, the stress and deformation analysis is each layer. In addition, the design on joint, anti-bending device and other accessories are included, plus analysis on fatigue life.
  5. By full scale tests, test the design and verify working safety.
